Day-wise itinerary

  1. Day 1 Delhi — overnight Volvo to Manali

    Reach your Volvo boarding point in Delhi (Majnu ka Tilla, Kashmere Gate ISBT or as per ticket) by evening. Most Manali Volvos leave Delhi between 5 pm and 10 pm and drive through the night with short dinner and tea stops. Carry a light shawl, ID and a water bottle.

  2. Day 2 Arrival in Manali — rest and Mall Road

    The Volvo reaches Manali in the morning. Our driver meets you at the Manali bus stand and takes you to your hotel (check-in time is usually 12 noon; early check-in depends on availability). Rest after the overnight journey. In the evening walk along Mall Road for shopping, coffee and the town lights.

  3. Day 3 Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel and Sissu

    Morning at Solang Valley, Manali’s snow and adventure point — skiing and snow play in winter and spring, ropeway, paragliding, zorbing and ATV rides in other seasons (activities are paid on the spot). Then drive through the 9 km Atal Tunnel into Lahaul to Sissu village for its waterfall and views of the Chandra river. Return to Manali by evening.

  4. Day 4 Naggar castle and the left-bank villages

    Drive along the quieter left bank of the Beas through apple orchards to Naggar, the old capital of Kullu. Visit the stone-and-wood Naggar castle, the Nicholas Roerich art gallery and the Jana waterfall (season permitting). Lunch with Himachali food is a good idea here. Return to Manali in the afternoon.

  5. Day 5 Manali sightseeing for two

    Hadimba Devi temple and its cedar forest, Manu temple, Vashisht hot springs and the Tibetan monastery. Spend a slow afternoon in the cafés of Old Manali by the Manalsu stream and walk Mall Road in the evening. Room decoration, a cake or a candle-light dinner can be arranged on request.

  6. Day 6 Half-day sightseeing — Volvo back to Delhi

    Check out after breakfast (luggage stays with the driver or hotel). Half-day visit to Hadimba temple, Vashisht and the Tibetan monastery, then free time for shopping — Kullu shawls, caps, dry fruits and local jams. Evening drop at the Manali bus stand for the Volvo to Delhi.
